contemplation in linen no. 2
"Contemplation in Linen" is a series of paintings that reflects raw, emotional response to grief. But through grief, there is still belief, and as a result there is faith. For this series, I worked with a consistent palette of pinks, greens and shades, and chose a linen canvas that is rich in texture. In an effort to connect with each piece on a deeper level, I hand stretched each painting onto their wooden frames. There are subtle imperfections that hide behind the back of the painting, creating another opportunity for connection between artist and owner.
This exploration produced work that feels both organic and vibrant, and I hope it brings joy to those who are able to view it.
